I have known Dr. Aquil, “Aunt Tina,” basically all my life. She has always had a loving family oriented Spirit, that is so welcoming for everyone. I remember the first time I met her, the family had this big black dog, when I walked in the house I was so scared of the dog. I remember Aunt Tina coming over to me, placing her arm around me and saying, “don’t be scared, it’s ok, he won’t bite you.” Ever since then I have been able to always talk to her about anything. It is a special thing when your deepest secrets are safe with God and someone you trust. I love that she is a genuine person, always willing to but
others first. When she told me about the All About Me Fellowship I wanted to support her. Listening to her story in the Podcast really put me in touch with the growth I have seen in her. I can relate to the Journey of finding yourself, and most importantly finding out that God has been there all the time. I know God has blessed her with this gift of serving others; it also gives me joy to finally see her taking time to love herself as well.

Dr. Aquil has been influential in my life since I was a very young man. She has inspired me to be a better father in my children’s lives, at work, as well as relationships with family and friends. There never has been a moment where I have called on her and she has not been there for me. When I wanted to be a Truck Driver, I remember her encouraging me and always telling me that there is nothing too big for God. She even helped me study for the test and pass. Dr. Aquil has a way of making the most complicated things seem simple. Her calm domineer makes you believe you can accomplish anything.
I believe that most people who get to the level of accomplishments she has would try to say they are “Self-Made.” Dr. Aquil always gives all the credit to God. When people pay her a compliment, or talk about her house, car or job, she always replies, “To god Be the Glory,” giving all the credit to Him. She’s such a beautiful person on the inside and outside as, well. What I love about her the most, she always stays humble. My belief in. God came from just watching Dr. Aquil on her life Journey, and always referring back to God in every portion of her life. She is truly walking in her “Calling”, and it has been a pleasure and honor watching her transmute herself into who God wants her to be and inspirer me and other people to do the same.

For me it’s the journey of knowing God for yourself and watching Dr. Aquil really get to a
place where you have to search the scriptures to understand your journey with Him and
seeking him for herself. I am proud to be her Spiritual advisor, I learn from her just as
much as she does from me. When she first decided to step out on Faith and leave the
church to start her own Fellowship, I was scared for her at first. However, after having a
long conversation about the vision God had giving her all fear went away. Because her
mind was set like Jesus said, “like Flint,” on what her desired end is to be. Not what the
world has planned, but what God planned for her. And I am proud of her for that!

I would say Dr Aquil is definitely a big motivation and inspiration for me. I am a Spiritual
person and listening to her podcast “Religion has nothing to do with it,” was a eye
opening experience. It was the first time I heard it explained in that way. She has a way
of making the complicated seem so simple. God is all around us, but we have to know
Him to see it, being in Dr. Aquil’s presence, talking with her and feeling her committed to
God makes you feel at ease and comfortable with sharing with her. I can learn so much
from her.
John 5:14-15 Our Confidence in Christ, “And this is the confidence that we have in Him,
that, if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us: And if we know that He
hear us, whatsoever we ask we know that we have petitions that we desired of Him.”

I met Dr. Aquil at work; I would call her about the patients, and sometimes, I would vent
about things that was on my mind. Dr. Aquil always has a way of calming me after I
speak with her; she just knows the right things to say. And in my transition from worry to
leaving it to God, she always comes to mind. One time ask her how she knew what to
say to me that was life changing doing the times I came to her office with so many
situations in my life. Doing the Podcast, sitting across from her, I finally understand what
she met by, “it’s not me; it’s the Holy Spirit telling me what you need to hear at that
moment.” I get that now, because like she says all the time, “That could have only come
from God.” What I really admire about Dr. Aquil, is, she always gives God the Glory for
the impact she’s had on my life. Thank you, Dr. Aquil for being a part of my Journey, in
you favorite saying, “To God Be The Glory!”
John 6:38 “For I have come down from heave not to do my will, but to do the will of who sent me.”
